A good rule of thumb is longer than a grain of rice or 1/4 inch. We recommend 2 weeks from the last time you shaved. 

I use a special blend of hard wax that only adhears to the hair and not the skin. Pain can not be avoided all together but hard wax does minimize the pain compared to waxing done with soft wax and strips. On the plus side, the more you wax on a consistent basis the pain does lessen as the amount of hair lessens and the hair follicle becomes weaker. 

Everyone is different and a custom waxing schedule can be established after multiple visits. However, the average time is every 4-6 weeks. This allows for a full hair growth cycle so that over time the hair grows in evenly at the same time. 

While there is an abundance of at home waxing products being advertised, there is a lot of knowledge professionals take the time to learn to avoid injury and support effectiveness. There are specific ways to apply the wax, remove the wax without damaging the skin, and reduce pain as much as possible. 

Without aftercare there is an increased chance of ingrown hairs as the new hair growth is weaker and can not break through the skin. This can be solved with exfoliation. I will give you all of the proper aftercare instructions and tips to avoid ingrowns. 

1) Exfoliate within 24 hours prior to your appointment

2) Avoid certain products such as deodorant or any product with oil in it

3) Avoid any UV exporsure such as direclt sunlight or taaning beds 

4) Wear loose fitting clothing. Tight fitting clothing can irritate a freshly waxed area causing irritation and pain. 

1) Thoroughlybwash your eyelashes with an oil free cleanser. Be sure lashes are free from all makeup residue and product.

2) Do not curl lashes. I need your batural curl in order to determine how to apply your lash. 

3) Avoid touching your eyes and lashes with your hands to avoid getting natural oil on them.
